Skin health
Medical dermatology
Adults should have a full-body skin exam by a board-certified dermatologist once a year. If you have a personal or family history of skin cancer, Dr. Cappel may recommend checks every 3 to 6 months. See skin cancer screening.
Look for the ABCDEs of melanoma: Asymmetry, irregular Border, multiple Colors, Diameter larger than a pencil eraser, and Evolving or changing moles. Also watch for new or unusual spots and sores that do not heal.
A dermatopathologist diagnoses skin disease by examining tissue under the microscope. Dr. Cappel is board certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology, so he can personally analyze a biopsy and confirm the diagnosis. See his credentials.
The only way to know for certain is an evaluation by a board-certified dermatologist. If there is any concern, Dr. Cappel performs a biopsy. See mole and skin tag removal.
If you can, avoid applying creams or ointments to the rash that day so Dr. Cappel can see it clearly, and bring a list of your medications and the treatments you have tried. See rash treatment.
Aesthetics
Aesthetic treatments
Dr. Cappel personally administers every Botox, Dysport and Letybo treatment, and performs and directs every chemical peel plan. Every aesthetic plan starts with his assessment of your skin.
Botox, Dysport and Letybo are priced by area: $350 for one area, $600 for two and $750 for all three upper-face areas. DermagnifyVIP members pay $300, $500 and $600. See Botox, Dysport and Letybo.
No. When performed by an experienced injector like Dr. Cappel, results look natural and refreshed while keeping your facial expressions. Most patients return every 3 to 4 months to maintain results.
Yes. Technologies such as Aerolase Neo and Opus are safe and effective for all Fitzpatrick skin types, and proper laser selection minimizes the risk of hyperpigmentation. See laser resurfacing.
Start with an assessment. Our Alma IQ skin analysis reveals texture, fine lines, pigmentation, sun damage, redness and other concerns invisible to the naked eye. See skin analysis.
Whole-body health
Wellness
Every wellness plan begins with testing to evaluate vascular and metabolic health, inflammation, hormones, thyroid function and nutrient status, so your program is built from objective data. See wellness.
Yes. Our medical weight loss program uses GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, combined with personalized nutritional guidance and lifestyle strategies. See medical weight loss.
You complete a secure digital intake form with your medical history, goals and lifestyle. Our team reviews it within 2 to 3 business days and sends a personalized plan by secure messaging. No video or phone call is required.
