Dr. Mark A. Cappel is the founder and medical director of Dermagnify. He is board certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology, which gives him an understanding of the skin from its surface appearance to its microscopic structure.

Yes. Dr. Mark A. Cappel, MD is double board certified, by the American Board of Dermatology and in dermatopathology. He completed his dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and a dermatopathology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, then served on the Mayo Clinic dermatology staff for nine years.
A dermatopathologist is a physician who diagnoses skin disease by examining skin samples under the microscope. Because Dr. Cappel is trained in both clinical dermatology and dermatopathology, he can correlate what he sees on your skin with what the tissue shows, for a more accurate diagnosis.
Yes, for medical dermatology visits. We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and Medicare. Aesthetic treatments are self-pay, and we offer CareCredit and Cherry payment plans. Coverage for wellness treatments varies by plan; our team will verify your benefits.
