What is hair restoration?

During your initial consultation, Dr. Cappel reviews your medical records, asks about your symptoms, and examines your hair and scalp. Tell him about the medications you take, including if you use steroids or have undergone any recent steroid treatments. Steroids can affect hair restoration outcomes, so Dr. Cappel must be aware. 

If Dr. Cappel determines you’re a good candidate, he develops a personalized treatment plan.

What does professional hair restoration involve?

Dr. Cappel performs professional hair restoration with the Alma TED system. Treatment sessions typically take 45-60 minutes and occur in the office.

On the day of your appointment, wash your hair and don’t put any product in it. When you arrive at the office, you sit in a comfortable chair. Dr. Cappel applies a topical hair formula to your scalp and gently massages it in.

Afterward, he places the Alma device on your head. The Alma device emits high-frequency soundwaves and air pressure, helping your scalp to deeply absorb the formula. After the formula penetrates your scalp, it increases blood flow to the area and stimulates your hair follicles, causing them to produce thicker and stronger hair.
